For many of the apricots growers in California’s Central Valley, growing apricots is more than a job, it’s a way of life. Most of the orchards have been in families for generations – being passed down over the years. A sense of pride and respect for the land is passed down as well. California’s heirloom apricots are grown on small family farms, picked by hand, and packed within hours.
